7 Proven Ways to Beat Fatigue Naturally – Backed by Nutrition and Lifestyle Science

Are you tired of being tired all of the time?

Are you asking yourself:

Why Am I So Tired All the Time? Discover the Real Reason Behind Your Fatigue

If you feel exhausted no matter how much sleep you get… If your energy crashes mid-day… If you rely on coffee or sugar just to function…

You’re not alone.

Fatigue is one of the most common concerns we see at Triad Of Health Family Healing Center. But what most people don’t realize is that it’s rarely caused by just one thing. Fatigue is the result of multiple organs, glands, and entire systems of your body being out of balance.

In fact, your energy levels are connected to a network of what doctors call axes (pronounced AX-eez) — tightly connected hormonal systems that regulate stress, mood, digestion, and metabolism. Let’s explore these systems and how they might be keeping you stuck in survival mode.

How do we define fatigue? There are a variety of organs and glands that work together simultaneously to give you energy.  In fact, the majority of organs and glands in your body are related to your energy, stamina, mood and overall health.  This is a generalization.  The glands and organs most directly linked to energy production are your adrenal glands, thyroid gland, hypothalamus, pituitary, testicles in a male, ovaries in a female, uterus in a female, prostate in a male, and heart. Doctors will often refer to some of these glands by referring to an “axis” because they work together so closely, rather than as separate pieces.  There is a hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis.  There is a hypothalamic-pituitary-thyroid axis.  There is a gut-brain axis.  There is a hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal-thyroid-gut axis.  Each of these different axes describe different physiological processes in the body.  Specific hormones are being referred to in each of the different axes.

Do you think you understand the different axis?  If not, keep reading….we got you covered.

The Hormonal Axes That Control Your Energy

🧠 Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Adrenal (HPA) Axis

  • Hormones: CRH → ACTH → Cortisol
  • Function: Regulates stress response, blood sugar, inflammation, and sleep-wake cycles. When this axis is out of balance, people often feel “wired but tired.”

🧠 Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Thyroid (HPT) Axis

  • Hormones: TRH → TSH → T4/T3
  • Function: Controls your metabolism, energy production, and temperature regulation. If this axis is sluggish, fatigue becomes chronic.

🧠 Gut-Brain Axis

  • Hormones/Substances: Serotonin, ghrelin, leptin, short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs)
  • Function: Connects gut health to brain function. Poor gut health can lead to mood imbalances, low energy, and brain fog.

🧠 Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Adrenal-Thyroid-Gut (HPATG) Axis

  • Hormones: A mix of all above — cortisol, TSH, serotonin, and more
  • Function: This master network keeps your body in homeostasis. If one part is weak, it stresses the others.

Glands and Organs That Power Your Energy (and the Hormones Behind Them)

    • Adrenal Glands: Cortisol and DHEA help regulate stress, energy, and blood pressure.
    • Thyroid: T3 and T4 influence metabolism, heart rate, and overall vitality.
    • Hypothalamus: Releases signals that activate your stress and thyroid systems.
    • Pituitary: The master gland that tells other glands what to do.
    • Ovaries (Women): Estrogen and progesterone regulate mood, cycle, and energy.
    • Uterus: Responds to hormone signals and can influence inflammation and fatigue.
    • Testicles (Men): Testosterone supports stamina, muscle mass, and mood.
    • Prostate: Affected by hormone balance; inflammation may influence energy.
    • Heart: Circulates oxygen and nutrients to tissues. A weak heart = low energy.
    • Gut: Manufactures serotonin and absorbs nutrients for cellular energy.

Americans are often looking for natural fatigue remedies because they work so hard. Hard work can make a person tired-nothing very complicated about that.  But what do you do about it?  You are about to learn a few very simple things about how to overcome fatigue naturally.

So… How Do You Fix Fatigue?

In this 40-second video below, you’ll discover simple but powerful lifestyle shifts that have helped hundreds of our patients regain their energy:

Quick Action Steps to Start Today:

  • Sleep at least 9 hours per night
  • Eat palm-sized portions of protein 4x per day
  • Avoid wheat, dairy, corn, soy, and sugar
  • Add 200 mcg of chromium GTF with breakfast & lunch
  • Take 30 mg of zinc picolinate with breakfast & lunch
  • Eat mostly green vegetables and animal protein
  • Get 30 minutes of movement 4x per week
  • Go to sleep by 11 p.m.

Try following these simple steps for the next 3 months and let us know over here at Triad Of Health Family Healing Center how everything goes. Making these changes has helped a tremendous number of our patients with not just sleep but also with gas, constipation, diarrhea, bloating, abdominal aches and pains, etc. Many people have gotten help with abdominal bloating. Other people have gotten help with acne, and yet still others have received help with such symptoms as ADD, ADHD, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Lyme’s Disease, allergies, abdominal bloating, acute fatigue, and others.

Because zinc helps your body produce stomach acid, it can also help with overall stomach function. We have had some of our anemic patients completely get rid of their anemia just by following a variety of our lifestyle changes. However, it should be noted that we strongly recommend that people get what some of our patients have described as “total health care” through structural, chemical, emotional, and other therapies and not just a one-sided approach with only nutritional therapies.

In this Triad of Health logo, we can see a reflection of the depth of the Triad of Health treatments. Structural imbalances are at the core of many health concerns that people have. Examples of structural imbalances are improper alignment of bones or injuries due to sports. However, there is also the emotional component to any and all health concerns. Chiropractic care involves structural chiropractic adjustments.

A good example of an emotional component is pain. Pain is an emotional experience that is registered in the limbic portion of the brain. The limbic portion of the brain is the emotional center of the brain. Therefore, it is not possible to have pain without it being an emotional experience. Psychiatry is an example of an emotional therapy.

There is also a chemical component to any and all health concerns. All the muscles, bones, joints, and ligaments of the body have specific nutrients that support those muscles, bones, joints, and ligaments. For example, vitamin C and zinc are often touted as helping to strengthen immunity. These nutrients will also affect our emotional state, and they also have an effect on the different structures of the body. So all of these aspects of the body are interrelated. This video below that discusses how to get support with fatigue should be helpful. I know you will love it because it is so direct and to the point.
